Welfare

Practical love, not just words

The gospel we preach on Sunday must be the gospel we live on Monday. Our welfare ministry exists so that no member of this family carries a heavy season alone, and so that the compassion of Christ reaches beyond our walls into the community around us.

Through our Philanthropic Ministries and our Ministry to the Physically Challenged, the church responds to real need — quietly, and without shaming anyone who asks.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Serving the community

How We Help

Areas of Support

Benevolence Fund

Short-term financial help for members facing sudden hardship — rent, utilities, transport or an unexpected bill that would otherwise become a crisis.

Food & Provisions

Regular food support for widows, the elderly and families going through a lean season, distributed discreetly by our welfare team.

Education Support

School fees, uniforms and books for children whose schooling would otherwise be interrupted, because no child should lose a year for want of a textbook.

The Physically Challenged

Mobility aids, access support and practical assistance so that persons living with disability can participate fully in the life of the church.

Hospital & Home Visits

Pastoral visits to the sick, the housebound and the newly bereaved — prayer, presence and whatever practical help is needed.

Bereavement Support

Standing with families through funerals and the long weeks afterwards, when the crowd has gone home and the grief remains.

How to make a request

Requests are handled confidentially by the welfare team and reviewed with the pastorate. You may use the form here, speak to any board member after a service, or call us directly on 0551033816.

If you would like to give toward this work rather than receive from it, use the same form and select “I would like to give” — we will get in touch with the details.
